Just wanted to let everyone know that my latest book,
Pawprints of Katrina: Pets Saved and Lessons Learned, will be released July 21. I was in New Orleans for nearly four months as a first responder and writer, covering
Best Friends Animal Society's rescue efforts. I followed the steps of the pets, the volunteers and the people who lost their pets.
Pawprints of Katrina tells their stories. A kickoff event is scheduled for July 26 at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. More about that later, but I can tell you that
Ali MacGraw, actor and animal activist who wrote the foreword, will be signing books with me. Thanks for tuning in. --Cathy

Who would have guessed, 45 years ago, the quiet girl sitting in the back row of high school algebra class in small town USA would grow up to be the voice of truth for people and animals? It’s amazing who we become, how our lives are changed by time and events, and what leads us to discover our true calling. Cathy is an amazing woman. I am proud to be her friend.
We're all proud of Cathy, what she's accomplished and where shse's going.
Wow I didn't know your book was out... I am very excited to read it! I am enjoying your blog, Cathy. So sorry to hear about Molly. You'll be in my thoughts this weekend.
